"For this purpose Christ was revealed: to destroy all the works of the evil one"
Home      2011 Jubilee      Portraying the truth
Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice by living on earth and dying on the cross to meet our need for freedom. He chose to come to us and live among us and then suffered a cruel death to pay the penalty for our sins. He chose to be the lamb that was slain and overcame the power of death and hell by obedience to our heavenly Father. He paid for the redemption of all mankind through suffering and victory when He died and rose again. He was beaten, mocked and crucified. He was flogged, ridiculed and punished. He was wrongfully tried, cheated and betrayed. He suffered in body, soul and spirit and saw the pain of His loved ones despair. He was misunderstood and abused, he was accused - when He came to bring hope, freedom and justice. He conquered the powers of darkness and made a spectacle of them - but we need to walk in His ways to recieve what He promised.

Jesus knows the pain of abuse, the burden of responsibility, stress and loss of health and life. He understands unfulfilled expectation, oppession and despair. Human need - Jesus cares.

In our life it is unlikely that we will suffer all these things - but our own circumstances, situations and difficulties can sometimes seem intolerable. Jesus knows this and provided for our care. He knows the pain of abuse, the burden of responsibility, stress and loss of health and life. He understands unfulfilled expectation, oppression and despair.
He knows the a pain of broken friendships - the betrayal of ones we love and trust. Jesus prays that we are one body and appreciates wounds of loneliness, neglect, faithlessness and rejection - He died to take pain as well as to carry or sin. He took it all on the cross and can comfort us in distress.

Take time to consider Jesus'sacrifice - for our sin - and hurts and troubles. Give to him any areas you are aware of in your own life and ask for God's provision and protection - the same life-giving and sustaining power that restored life in Jesus. He spent 3 days in the tomb - but rose again and left the Holy Spirit to counsel, guide, inspire and comfort.
God wants all of our lives - he wants to redeem - to bring back from death and when we surrender to His care we can be transformed into His image -the son of God can be revealed within and among us - Galatians 1:16

pray for your self, for your relationships - for freedom from oppression, despair and sin. pray for kindness in your own heart and for God's wisdom and discernment. Make Christ your cornerstone - the foundation of your life.

Can you feel the rhythm of heaven, bringing freedom as we sing.....
