In the beginning God made mankind... to be fruitful... and to rule over the earth (Gen 1:26). Adam was given supplies (Gen 1:29) and a helper; Eve (Gen 2:18). He had authority, power and responsibility (Gen 2:19). He was made aware of boundaries and warned of consequenses (Gen 2:16,17). When he was led astray (Gen 3:1-6), adam (and others) suffered as a result (Gen 3:17-19, 23).

When Jesus lived here on earth, he associated with many working people (Matthew 3 18:22) - his disciples were fishermen, tax collectors..
..and many of his parables had relevance to working life:
Parable of persistent widow ~ prayer ~ Luke 18: 1-8
Pharisee & Tax collector ~ attitude ~ Luke 18: 9-14
Rich fool ~ focus ~ Luke 12: 13-21
Tenants ~ responsibility/accountability ~ Luke 20 9-19
Read these parables and think:
What did Jesus have to to say about fairness? about attitudes at work?
Jesus intended that those who could should work for their food. 2Thessalonians 3 6-15. He was also concerned that those who were poor should be provided for. Luke 3:11
Luke 10:7 "The worker deserves his wages"
~
Consider your working life and pray that you might be a good example in life and work
John 13:15
