Do Not Covet ..
"You shall not covet you neighbour's house. You shall not covet you neighbour's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour." Exodus 20:17
God has given much to all of us (James 1:5) and He expects us to make good use of what we have (Matthew 25 14-30). Jealously or envy of others has no place in the life of a believer and may be the root of much strife (1 Corinthians 13:4, Proverbs 14:30, Galatians 5)
Being thankful (Ephesisans 5:20, Hebrews 12:28) is a good way to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2) and loving our neighbour (Matthew 22 37:38) means we will respect our differences.
Thank God for all you have & ask Him to reveal any covetousness in your life..
"Christ
be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
I
bind unto myself the Name,
The strong Name of the Trinity;
By invocation of the same.
The Three in One, and One in Three,
Of Whom all nature hath creation,
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord."
