(From) The Breastplate of St. Patrick
I arise today through a mighty strength,
the invocation of the Trinity, through belief in the Threeness
through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.
I arise today, through the strength of Heaven:
light of sun, brilliance of Moon, splendor of Fire,
speed of Lightning, swiftness of Wind, depth of Sea,
stability of Earth, Firmness of Rock.
I arise today, through God's strength to pilot me:
God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me, God's shield to protect me,
God's host to secure me..
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right,
Christ on my left, Christ in breadth, Christ in length,
Christ in height
I arise today through a mighty strength,
the invocation of the Trinity, through belief in the Threeness,
through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of Creation.
Salvation is of the Lord. Salvation is of the Lord.
May Thy Salvation, O Lord, be ever with us.
God wants us to succeed in life & he provides for us to do so amidst the battles we may face (Joshua 1) He formed us and remembers that we are dust (Psalm 103:13-14 ) He cares for His creation.
Do you have needs in your life? Pray for God's Protection, Provision, Perserverance
(Romans 12:12)
Sometimes we can face many battles within / without. St. Patrick was an Apostle to Ireland and was credited with ridding the land of snakes.
Whatever God asks of us we must remember to help our brothers and sisiters in need
(Mark 12 29-31)
Oxfam estimates that 1:8 people go hungry
Why? selfishness, greed, lack of care / thought??
What can you do today to help someone in their battle?
Give to charity, volunteer, be considerate.. 'poverty is not unfortunate...it's unjustifiable'
Pray to God for help to use your resources wisely (2Corinthians 9 6-15)
God is generous and wants to provide our need ~ let Him do it through you as He leads
Matthew 25:31 -45
"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsy and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you visited me...whatever you did for the least of one of these brothers and sisiters of mine (said the King) you did for me"
Luke 6:38
"with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"
